Single Joint Press SHCU 8-180

Clinching Press

The clinching press of the SHCU 8-180 series is a purely hydraulic press that can be used for clinching but also for punching and pressing in bolts and nuts, the so-called functional elements. The hydraulic cylinder is designed for 80kN pressing force, which results in a wide range of applications for this machine. The special feature of this machine type is its unique safety concept. The hydraulic cylinder used, ensures safe working with the machine. Intelligent valve technology makes it possible to combine pre-stroke and power stroke via one medium, in this case oil, without the need for further sensors or connections.

To trigger the entire clinching stroke (back and forth), the operator operates max. two foot pedals. Both hands remain free and can be used to position the components during the entire process. It is also possible to “approach” the component using the jog mode.

The unit is available in two standard stroke lengths (100 mm and 150 mm). In addition, there are C-brackets in the basic version with 180 mm and 600 mm window depth. Other dimensions are also possible on request.

The automatic return stroke is freely adjustable. This makes it possible to return only a short distance in a time-optimised manner and automatically activate the next cycle. This results in considerable savings in cycle time. In addition, we also offer individual solutions for this type.

Clinching Press

The clinching press of the SHCU 8-600 series is a purely hydraulic press that can be used for clinching but also for punching and pressing in bolts and nuts, the so-called functional elements. The hydraulic cylinder is designed for 80kN pressing force, which results in a wide range of applications for this machine. Its anti-rotate dasigned ram allows the Usage of non symatrical or not round clinch tooling without additional guiding.

Customized floor standing units

Clinching Press

In addition to the single-point presses from our standard programme with different drive systems, we offer specially designed presses to meet customer-specific requirements. The modular design concept, which has been consistently applied for decades, offers the ideal basis for versatile solutions. This means that table or floor-standing presses designed individually for the customer can be built from standard systems with minor modifications.

Special component contours pose particular challenges for the design. For example, in order to clinch curved fittings of cable or air ducts, the substructure must be adapted to the component contour.

It is possible to set several clinching points in one operation or to realise clinching with simultaneous punching.

Machines with a short stroke of max. 6 mm offer the possibility of dispensing with complex safety technology and thus making the machines very attractive in terms of price. In addition, these machines impress with their extremely short cycle times.

When designing our clinching machines, we always keep an eye on compliance with the current safety regulations.

Single Joint Press SCU-701

Clinching Press

The SCU 701 column machine is a purely pneumatic working press and can be used for clinching with all our clinching systems but also for punching, stamping and pressing in bolts and nuts. The machine generates a max. pressing force of 35 kN at 6 bar compressed air.

The power is generated via a multi-chamber system and is characterised by low air consumption. The working stroke is composed of rapid and power strokes. Each stroke is triggered by its own foot pedal.

Both hands remain free and can be used to position the components during the entire process. Thanks to the safety concept that has been tried and tested over many years, we guarantee safe working on and with the machine.

The feed stroke of 55 mm is carried out with low feed force. The power stroke is preset to 6 mm clear width and is triggered by the second foot pedal. In this position, several strokes can be made in succession before the complete return stroke is initiated again.

The upright machine with a window depth of 400 mm can be supplied with a fixed working height or individually height-adjustable via electric rocker buttons.

ULG Bench Presses

Clinching Press

The pneumatic ULG Bench Presses combine high joining forces and fast cycle speed with a balanced, weight-optimized and ergonomic design. They can be used as mobile clinching units, but also as stationary bench presses.

The integrated air-oil booster runs quietly and is completely vibration-free. It is driven purely pneumatically with an air supply of up to 7 bar. The joining stroke is triggered via a hand lever, but can optionally also be triggered via foot pedal. Our ULG clinching units offer a high level of operational reliability.

Due to their modular design, ULG clinching units offer a wide range of tool holders, such as various C-clamps, scissor heads or special holders, for example. These clinching pliers can therefore not only be used as bench presses, but can also be used as mobile hand clinching tongs. Thus, the tool holders can be changed in just a few steps while the drive unit remains the same.
